with National Chain over Naming Rights

October 28, 2008 – SELECTSTAFF,^® a full service staffing company that has done business in MetroWest and Central Massachusetts for the past twenty-four years, has settled with Koosharem Corporation, a national chain headquartered in California. SELECTSTAFF^® will continue the use of its well established name.

SELECTSTAFF^® won a preliminary injunction in May 2008. “While we were always confident that the initial ruling would stand in our favor, we are happy that this issue has been resolved without the additional cost and conflict of trial and the threat of lengthy appeals,” said Jo-An Gladstone, Founder and President of SELECTSTAFF^®. “We have been using the SELECT name for nearly twenty-five years, and it was not right that a large national corporation could enter the Massachusetts market confusing our clients and potential clients by using our name.”

SELECTSTAFF Nominates Elise Smith as Staffing Employee of the Year

September 11, 2008 – SELECTSTAFF^® is pleased to announce the nomination of Elise Smith for the Staffing Employee of the Year award. Elise will be honored at the Massachusetts Staffing Association Awards Dinner on September 17, 2008 where one of the nominees will be selected as this year's recipient of the award.

“We are extremely fortunate to acknowledge exceptional individuals like Elise Smith for their dedication to their work, positive attitude towards others, and overall contribution to the organization,” said Ann Hamel, Branch Manager at SELECTSTAFF^®. “She carries out her responsibilities with a work ethic, passion, and determination we don't see among employees and applicants every day.”

Elise, a resident of Hudson, MA, has worked at a local manufacturing company since March of 2008. Since then, she has received numerous accolades from supervisors and co-workers alike.

The Massachusetts Staffing Association, a chapter of the American Staffing Association, holds the awards event each year to honor those temporary employees who truly go above and beyond the call of duty to contribute to their respective organizations. This year's dinner will be held at the Harvard Club in Boston.

to Protect Trademark

Federal Court Prevents National Staffing Company From Using SELECTSTAFF^® Name In Massachusetts

August 25, 2008 – SELECTSTAFF^®, a full service staffing company, today announced that it was successful in obtaining a temporary injunction against Koosharem Corporation for using its name. Koosharem is a staffing company headquartered in Santa Barbara, California. SELECTSTAFF^® has been a registered federal trademark since 2000.

Koosharem Corporation began operating as Select Staffing in Massachusetts earlier this year. A temporary injunction was granted to SELECTSTAFF^® in May 2008 which states that Koosharem Corporation must stop using the name Select Staffing in Massachusetts pending a permanent judgement by U.S. District Court for the District of Massachusetts.

“We became aware of Koosharem Corporation doing business in our sales territory earlier in the year when several people began calling our SELECTSTAFF^® offices asking questions.” said Jo-An Gladstone, founder and president of SELECTSTAFF^®. “Needless to say it is causing a lot of confusion in the market among job candidates and employers in the area.”

In court documents, SELECTSTAFF^® outlines it is asking for a permanent injunction from Koosharem Corporation based on violation of trademark infringement, cybersquatting, common law trademark infringement, violation of M.G.L. c. 93A, and deceptive acts or practices arising out of infringement of SELECTSTAFF's mark in violation of the Trademark Act of 1946 and state law.
